Lincoln Township is getting ready to turn on its splash pad for the season.
The township says the attraction at Community Center Park behind the township hall off Roosevelt Road will open to the public on Friday at 9 a.m.
The splash pad offers a variety of water jets to cool off users of all ages. The township reminds everyone pets are not allowed on the splash pad, nor are skateboards or bicycles. It asks those rules be followed so the splash pad can be used for years to come.
The pad opened in 2022 to give people a water attraction a bit safer than Lake Michigan at a time when such parks were becoming more popular.
The splash pad will remain open until Monday, September 14.
