Michigan State Police in the Fifth District are warning everyone of a new scam they’ve heard about in southwest Michigan.
The scam involves someone identifying themselves as being with a landscaping or logging company.
State police say the scammers will show up to a home to provide a quote and scope the place out while there. They then come back a few days later and steal valuables that could include boats, trailers, trucks, and four-wheelers.
So far, the suspects have not been identified. Anyone who has experienced something like this is asked to contact Michigan State Police.
