St. Joseph Today is preparing for the next Makers Trail Festival at Weko Beach in Bridgman, set for June 8.

St. Joe Today’s Daniele Crevier tells us the event will feature craft beer, wine, cider and spirits from 25 southwest Michigan makers.

It just kind of celebrates all the makers throughout Southwest Michigan, specifically in Berrien County as well,” Crevier said. “We host Michigan beer, wine, cider, and spirit makers at Waco Beach, so we’re really excited about this.”

Crevier says the all-day festival features plenty of fun.

We’ve got three live bands and a DJ, so we’ll kick off the day with DJ Mark Durocher. He’s also going to be our MC throughout the day. And we’ve got Top Secret/Still Running, the Backups and the Get Downs, and Ultrafab. So there’s going to be some great bands there. We’ve also got some food trucks. Right now, we’ve got Nola Roux, The Brick House, and Don Chepe, the taco truck.”

This is the second year St. Joe Today is running the Makers Fest after the Greater Bridgman Area Chamber and Growth Alliance handed it the reins. Crevier says it went well last year and they’re looking forward to doing it again.

Tickets are $10 through May 31. After that, they’ll be $20. You can get them online or at the Bridgman Harding’s.

Crevier notes Makers Fest is cash-only, adding it always has been with only some limited exceptions. There’s no ATM at Weko Beach, so get cash in town before heading down.
