Are you frustrated with the state of healthcare these days?

A new MD-VIP/Ipsos survey finds most Americans have high frustration with the healthcare system. Dr. Alan Reisinger is medical director for MD-VIP. He described why people are fed up.

You wait weeks to months before getting an appointment that’s usually over in minutes,” Reisinger said. “The doctors pay more attention to their laptop than to you. You often walk out with more questions than answers, and when the insurance bill comes in the mail, you can’t make sense of it.”

Nearly a third of adults report waiting three months or more for a doctor’s appointment and half of all Americans scored severe or burned out on the survey’s patient frustration index.

Reisinger says some just avoid going to the doctor as a result.
