Southwestern Michigan College is conducting a nationwide search for a new full-time head coach to lead its women’s basketball program. Current coach Jeanine Wasielewski notified the SMC administration last week she’s accepted another coaching position and will be moving out of the area. She says it’s been an amazing two years at SMC and she’s proud of everyone at the college. Athletic Director Rodell Davis says the college is grateful to the coach for helping to get the SMC program restarted after 26 years of the college not having sports. The nationwide search for a new coach now starts.
