John’s guest this week is Michael Passwater, the author of Historic Shipwrecks and Rescues on Lake Michigan. They talk over the history and sailing environment of Lake Michigan and the other Great Lakes. Michael, an electrical engineer, with a passion for history and in particular Lake Michigan tells of the thousands of shipwrecks in the Lake and the history and heroism of the Life Savers, and now the US Coast Guard that have saved lives at supreme risk to themselves in the violent world of storms.
