Governor Gretchen Whitmer joined business and other political leaders in cutting the ribbon on a new $300-million semi-conductor facility in Bay City Thursday.

“The products that SK Siltron manufacturers are truly the building blocks of countless other products and industries,” says Whitmer, noting they are used in “electric vehicles, solar panels, smart phones, and so much more.”

The governor says 150 jobs will be created with the new investment.
