Despite worries about a recession, many managers at companies in the US say the job market will remain strong the rest of this year. The survey was taken before Friday’s jobs report, which showed half a million jobs were added last month. In a survey by Robert Half, 46% of managers plan to add staff before the end of the year while 46% expect to fill vacated positions. Robert Half’s Neal Gilbert says 78% are concerned about employees quitting.

“If employers aren’t reacting to those employees and bringing those salaries higher, or potentially offering additional perks to maintain those employees, you might start to see them become a little more dissatisfied with the position that they’re in or their station. With that being the case, managers need to start paying attention to these things.”

Gilbert says finding new people is a challenge.
