St Joseph’s Department of Public Safety says the body of a Niles man who went missing Saturday a pier in St Joseph has been found. The body of Michael Grant was located in the Morrison Channel near slip 21 by the Berrien County Sheriff Department Marine Division and Great Lakes Drone Company on Monday. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow at Western Michigan University Stryker School of Medicine.

Police are looking for a man who went missing at Pier 33 in St. Joseph on Saturday. The St. Joseph Department of Public Safety says 68-year-old Michael Grant of Niles was visiting family and friends at Pier 33 near slip 41 around 11:30 a.m. when he left to use the restroom but never returned. The family and St. Joseph Department of Public Safety officers searched the area and his home and were unable to locate him. The Berrien County Dive Team searched the Morrison Channel and St. Joseph River but didn’t find Grant. He’s been entered into the Law Enforcement Information Network as missing.
