General Motors CEO Mary Barra joined a group of CEOs who were at the White House Wednesday to discuss the Build Back Better plan with President Biden. While meeting with reporters, Barra reiterated how GM remains committed to increasing it’s production of electric vehicles.

“We are really working to make sure, as we are making this transformation to eclectic and do the right thing for the environment, that we bring everybody along, meaning that we have products at many different price points and people who participate in this market, either new or used, are going to have the opportunity to afford an electric vehicle,” Barra said.

Tuesday, GM announced a $7 billion investment in Michigan. It’s connected to the production of electric vehicles and electric vehicle batteries.
