Hotels, Restaurants Want Workers Vaccinated For COVID

As hotels and restaurants scramble to find staff with the summer travel season looming, there’s a push get the workers vaccinated. President Justin Winslow says the Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association this week is kicking off an eight-city tour, offering walk-in vaccinations to hospitality workers, $25 gift cards and door prizes.

“It starts this week in southwest Detroit. I think we’re in Lansing then Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Traverse City, Marquette, Kalamazoo, all on the the list of cities that are gonna be part of the tour, and the focus is vaccination of the hospitality industry, restaurants and hotels,” says Winslow.

Winslow says one of the grand door prizes is a stay at the Grand Hotel.
