State Police Investigating Package Thefts

Michigan State Police are investigating several complaints about the theft of packages and other mail from homes in southwest Michigan. Troopers out of the Paw Paw post say the suspects are primarily targeting homes in and around Kalamazoo County but everyone should be on high alert. Items are being stolen out of mailboxes and from front porches. State police say you can protect yourself by installing security cameras and motion activated lights on your property, tracking packages when you know they’re coming, having packages delivered to your workplace instead of home, and reporting suspicious activity.
