Lisa Palanca and Lynn Harris have been best friends for about 50 years and they have recently written a book called “The Dark Side of Heaven” about growing up in the South Haven area. Here is a brief description of the book:
…A wonderful warm story of the realization of white privilege, the commonality of strong women, and the structure of family and community in protecting their own. Dark Side of Heaven is meant to be a thought provoking comparison between two young women finding their truth and comfort through the color blind eyes of friendship.
