Michigan Works has announced it’s opening a new office in Cass County. It says the pandemic has shown that the agency needs to be adaptable, get creative, and adjust the way it does business. The new office inside the Cass County Administration Building in Cassopolis is intended to bring more programs to the area and allow for convenience. Cass County Commissioner Roseann Marchetti says the move is “a natural fit and will allow them to serve more individuals and more businesses located in Cass County.” She adds it couldn’t come at a better time. The new office will open on Monday and be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Michigan Works Berrien, Cass, Van Buren also has offices in Benton Harbor, Niles, and Paw Paw.
