Van Buren District Library Announces November Reading Challenge

The Van Buren District Library is asking local book lovers to help it provide 200 books to young people this winter. The library is planning “Read to Give” for November 1 through November 30. It says the goal is for participants to log an overall total of 500 books on Beanstack, the online tracking system for VBDL reading activities. Once the goal is reached, the library’s Friends groups will purchase the books, which will then be distributed through United Christian Services, which serves anyone in Van Buren County through its partnerships with 11 churches, the United Way, and others. The Van Buren District Library says it wants to distribute the books to make the holidays better for local children. You can call to learn about taking part in Read to Give.
