The Krasl Art Center is doing what it can to support southwest Michigan artists since this summer’s Krasl Art Fair was canceled. Krasl Marking Manager Matthew Bizoe tells WSJM News they’re hosting four local artists each Saturday in August at the “Summer Art Markets on the Green.”

“When we decided to cancel the art fair, we [said] we have a deep love for supporting artists, and supporting them outside seems to be really in vogue for 2020,” Bizoe said. “We started the Summer Art Market on the Green, and this allows us to have four artists or four art group pairings on our grounds and still have social distance practices going.”

Anyone can stop by the Krasl grounds between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. any Saturday in August to see the work of the featured artists and make a purchase. This Saturday will feature jewelry, fibers, sculptures, drawings, and paintings. Bizoe say artists have been hurting during the pandemic, and could use all the support art lovers can give them.
