A new principal is in place for Benton Harbor High School. The school board voted unanimously to hire Reedell Holmes for the job. He’s considered a school turnaround specialist who most recently worked for the Grand Rapids Public Schools as a floating principal, assisting other administrators. Holmes also worked as the middle school principal in Muskegon Heights. The “Herald-Palladium” reports he told the school board at a work session Tuesday night that every school he’s worked for has improved during his tenure. He and his wife moved to Michigan from Mississippi 19 years ago.
