Police Looking For Suspect In Blossom Acres Housing Project Shooting

Benton Township police are looking for a man in his mid-20s in connection with the latest shooting at the Blossom Acres Housing project. The shooting happened just before 6 p.m. Sunday when several kids who were involved in an earlier fight in the city of Benton Harbor on Pavone Street began fighting again behind a home in the 1000 block of Highland Avenue. The victim was an adult male who is related to one of the kids involved in the fight, and he was shot in the left side of his abdomen. He is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph. Township police say the shooter was a black man who was wearing a gray hoodie and had a silver revolver. There have been several shootings at the complex this summer.
