Kalamazoo Officer Shot Responding To Shooting

A Kalamazoo Public Safety officer is hospitalized after being shot responding to a report of a shooting at a plasma donation center. The officer’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. A former employee of the Grifols Biomat USA Plasma Center in downtown Kalamazoo is accused of entering the building Tuesday and opening fire. Employee Lisa Walterhouse tells the “Kalamazoo Gazette” the man told people to call 911, and then they took off running. The suspect was shot and killed by police.
