Terri Jeanne Palma

December 11, 1937 – January 30, 2019

Terri Jeanne (Bender) Palma, 81, of Coloma, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville after a valiant battle with Pancreatic cancer.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St Joseph.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan.  Friends wishing to Sign Terri’s memory book may do so at  www.starks-menchinger.com

Terri was born on December 11, 1937 in Benton Harbor, MI to the late Maurice and Helen (Stevens) Bender.  She graduated from Benton Harbor High School class of 1955.  Terri loved to go to rummage sales and fruit stands with friends and enjoyed gardening.  She was a “snow warrior” loving the snow and winter months.  Terrie was the first baby to be born at Mercy Hospital. Her generosity extended to welcoming many into her home for a meal or sometimes a hug as they became a part of her larger family. Terrie loved life to the fullest and never slowed down!

Terrie is survived by her sons, Shawn Palma of Watervliet, MI., Scott Palma of Atlanta, GA; brother, Tim Bender of Frankenmuth, MI.; grandchildren, Scottie Palma of Shelton,  CT, Phillip Palma of Nashville, TN; nieces, Laurie Olendorf of Reed City, MI, Julie Dolson of Kingsland, GA and Sarah Bender of Columbus, OH.   She was preceded in death by her parents.
