One person is dead following a car crash in Hagar Township in which the driver went off the road and slammed into a garage. The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department says no one was inside the garage at the time of the wreck, but has not said when it happened. The crash happened on M-63 near Eaman Road, and an autopsy will be done Friday in Kalamazoo at the Western Michigan University School of Medicine. Investigators say neither speed nor alcohol appear to have been factors. Details on the identity of the person killed haven’t been released pending notification of the family and the completion of the autopsy.
