John’s guest this week is Dr. Claudia Pollini, Professor of Mathematics at the University of Notre Dame. At age 3 she was solving mathematical problems without teaching. After trying other career opportunities, she found her calling, that which has absorbed her life, the world of mathematics. She talks of her journey in that world, the beauty of the world of numbers and equations, and argues that mathematics are perhaps the language of God. They reflect on the importance of the work of women in this field and their special value to the world.
