The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a daylight burglar who may have broken into three homes in the Grand Junction area early Saturday afternoon. He was spotted by one of the victims, an elderly woman, after he had broken in through her front door. She yelled at him and he immediately took off to a silver sedan with another person. A short time later, a second call about a burglary came in from someone who had just returned to find that their home had been robbed. There was also a third reported burglary that’s still under investigation. The suspect is described as a thin male wearing all black clothing, weighing approximately 155 pounds, and about 5’10.” The getaway car could have been a Ford Focus or Escort.
