books

The 41st annual “Banished Words List” from Lake Superior State University is out, and the word “so” tops the list of words and phrases that should be removed from the American lexicon. Tom Pink of LSSU says “problematic,” “pricepoint,” and “manspreading” were also among those making the list in 2015. Pink says there always continues to be a large number of new words and phrases that should be banished.

“Here we are, 41 years later, and I’ve been involved with it for 25, 30 years, both as a student and an employee of Lake State, and I just can’t believe that from year to year it gets so much attention,” Pink said..

“Walk it back,” “vape,” “so,” and “break the internet,” also made the list.
