Recall petition language for three Niles school board members was approved this week by the Berrien County Election Commission. The Berrien County Clerk’s office tells us the petitions against Niles school board President Mark Wortham, Trustee Kyle Zelmer, and Trustee David Fish are over school masking rules. With both the Lakeshore petitions approved this week and the Niles petitions approved this week, the targeted trustees have ten days to file an appeal. The language in the petitions is good for 180 days and the necessary signatures to force a recall election have to be collected within one 60 day window.
