The Whirlpool Foundation is already hard at work planning this summer’s annual Day of Impact in Benton Harbor.

The foundation’s Tracy Robinson addressed city commissioners this week, saying the Day of Impact is now entering its fifth consecutive year.

So this annual tradition remains a core pillar of our equality pledge and commemorating June 10,” Robinson said.

Robinson said the project will be at Benton Harbor High School this year.

“On Thursday, June 18, we’re joining forces with Benton Harbor Area Schools to upgrade the basketball courts behind the high school. I remember being there when those courts were donated by Sinbad. So we’re really excited about this.”

Robinson said city commissioners and the entire community are invited out to help.

The Day of Impact will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day with Whirlpool volunteers working to improve the community.
