Mosaic CCDA will hold a special resource fair for mothers on Wednesday, April 29 in Benton Harbor.

Mosaic Partnership Manager Camille Luther tells us the event is intended to help connect moms with the services that can help them meet their needs, with more than 20 vendors to be on site.

We’re going to have the health department, they’ll be there with WIC resources, RX Kids to support moms that are either pregnant or recently have given birth,” Luther said. “We’re going to have the Boys and Girls Club, resources in the community to help with clothing, I would say assistance for utilities and just ways for moms to come together.”

Luther says as a new mom herself, she knows how often a new and unexpected need will arise, and “Calling All Moms: A Motherhood Resource Event” is intended to be of help in just those situations. She’s inviting all moms to come check it out.

There are going to be lots of great things that you may not even know that we have access to in our community, and we might as well take advantage of what we have to use in our community.”

The motherhood resource fair will be held at the Mosaic resale store at 1804 M-139 in Benton Harbor from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. as part of Mosaic’s weekly Resource Wednesday. Luther says it’s a wonderful opportunity to highlight the strength of community support available to Benton Harbor mothers and families.

If all goes well, they’ll plan additional fairs.
