Work on Dunkley Avenue and Dyckman Avenue in South Haven this week

Drivers and pedestrians in South Haven should expect temporary disruptions this week as paving work takes place at the intersection of Dunkley Avenue and Dyckman Avenue.

The city says asphalt paving is scheduled for Tuesday, with Wednesday set as a backup date in case of delays. Both vehicle and foot traffic near the bridge will be affected at times, with posted detours, signage, and flaggers guiding people safely through the area.

The work is part of a larger, multi-year, $42 million capital improvement effort by the South Haven Area Water Sewer Authority to modernize the city’s water and wastewater infrastructure.

The city expects all remaining traffic control measures tied to the project will be removed by May 4.

Anyone seeking more information can visit the city’s website or contact the South Haven Department of Public Works.
