Ximena Trease Suggs was born on July 7, 1975, in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Florine Potts and the late John White Sr. She departed this life on November 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving daughter and grandchildren.
Ximena was a warm, loving, quick with a response, but spiritual woman devoted to her family and siblings. She enjoyed music, fishing and spending time with friends and families. She greeted everyone with her beautiful smile.
Ximena was also a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and the devoted wife to the late William Lee Suggs.
Ximena was a proud graduate of the Job Corps program, where she also earned her CNA certification and spent over 20 years caring for others in the healthcare field with compassion and grace. She received Christ at the early age of 11 years old under the leadership of Pastor Vatten, Mountain of the Good Shephard on Townline Rd., Benton Harbor, MI.
Ximena leaves to cherish her memories with her loving daughter, Pamela Benson, and son-in-law, Martell Washington; her mother, Florine Potts; grandchildren Amariell, Martell Jr., Marquis, Amara, Marcell, Markell, Amara, and Kamarion; her siblings (sisters) Angel Guyton of Atlanta, GA., Ashley Potts, Olivia Lucker, Laticia Palmer of Benton Harbor, MI., (brothers) Jonathan Guyton, Clarence Potts, John White Jr., of Kentucky, Darrick Palmer, Jerome Palmer of Benton Harbor, MI., her stepson Dennis Marble Jr.; her bonus sister, Muranda Williams; and her special cousin, LaShonda Smith.
She was preceded in death by her father, John White Sr.; her sisters Sherry Guyton and Miracle Mae Passion Guyton; her brother Roderick Guyton; her grandmother Dorothy Isom; and her husband William Lee Suggs. Her legacy of love, strength, and faith will continue to guide all who were blessed to know her.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
