Stevensville Village Manager Kacey Dominguez will be the next manager of Lincoln Township.
The Lincoln Township Board of Trustees announced Tuesday night Dominguez will start January 20, taking over for Interim Township Manager Michael Brown and replacing Ralph Bansen, who left this fall.
Dominguez came to the area in 2020 from California, having previously worked as a policy analyst for the Health and Human Services Agency in Yolo County. She’s been Stevensville Village Manager since January of 2022. She told us she’s excited to bring her experience to Lincoln Township and get involved in the big things happening there.
“I think the new housing project there is very exciting,” Dominguez said. “The grant that they got to kind of bring back Lincoln Township Beach, I think is very exciting and has a lot of potential impacts economic development wise to the township so I’m excited to be part of that.”
Lincoln Township Supervisor Glenn Youngstedt says the township worked with Stevensville village leaders as Dominguez was considered for her new position.
“She’s very creative, she always has her ducks in a row, and she’s always well prepared,” Youngstedt said. “And the fact that she’s coming from Stevensville, which is right within the township, to me it made perfect sense.”
Stevensville Village Council President Pro-Tem Chris Mason addressed township trustees Tuesday to say the village is happy Dominguez is moving on to a new position in the area when she could have gone anywhere. He credited Dominguez with getting the village on track during her time there.
Youngstedt told us he thinks her experience with the village will create more synergy between the two municipalities.
