Malachi Gamble of Brandywine High School Tennis and Soccer is our WSJM Sports Player of the Week for the week of October 5, 2025.
In the Bobcats’ tennis match against Edwardsburg on Monday, October 6, Malachi won his singles match. After the tennis match, he helped lead the soccer team to a 4-0 win over New Buffalo. Two days later, he played in their soccer match against Buchanan. The following day, he won the #4 Singles Regional Championship, going 3-0 on the day. He finished the tennis season with a 22-2 record.
Malachi is a four sport athlete at Brandywine. In the classroom, he carries a 3.91 grade point average.
Other finalists for the week were Xavier Pompey of Coloma Cross Country, Madisyn Lapinski of South Haven Cross Country, Caleb Jewell of Watervliet Football, and Amelia Elder of Michigan Lutheran Volleyball.
