Jeanenne Marie (Bourgeois) Clore passed into her eternal glory in Heaven peacefully with family at her side on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025.

She was born Aug. 11,1935, in the upstairs of her grandparents’ farmhouse in Sterling, Mich., to Erma (Shepard) and Willard Bourgeois. Jeanenne lived in Arenac County for her first seven years, and then she moved with her family to the Flint area. She graduated from Beecher High School north of Flint in 1953 and survived the devastating Beecher tornado later that year.

Jeanenne married Curtis Max Clore on June 28, 1956, while in college. After completing her bachelor’s degree and teaching certification, she contracted to teach in Clio in 1959. Jeanenne taught school for a few years before she transitioned into becoming a stay-at-home mother for her children. When her children were old enough, she returned to work as a secretary.

Jeanenne was very active in church for most of her adult life, including Bible studies and choir. She and Curt attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Flint and Faith Baptist Church in Davison, where they had many friends. Jeanenne lived in the same family home, where she and Curt raised their children, on Lippincott Boulevard in Davison Township for more than 50 years.

She enjoyed a variety of arts and crafts – painting, sewing and card-making – and she was excellent at decorating her home. Outdoors, she loved both flower and vegetable gardening. She loved to travel and vacation with her family and church friends.

Jeanenne was preceded in death by Curtis in 2006 after 50 years of marriage; her oldest son, Dale Curtis Clore, in 2015; and her three brothers, Ronald, Wally and Bud.

She is survived by her son, Doug (Peggy) Clore; her daughter Krista (Thomas) Faulkner; five grandchildren, Daniel Clore, Katie (Ryan) Jeltema, David (Maeve) Clore, Hannah Hymes (Anthony Erwin) and Michael (Abby) Faulkner; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Karen.

Jeanenne’s family will hold a private service on Oct. 10, 2025, at Flint Memorial Park in Genesee County before she is laid to rest next to Curt.
