Now that October is just about here, St. Joseph Today is inviting everyone of all ages to join in a scavenger hunt that will be going on all month downtown.
St. Joe Today’s Daniele Crevier tells us as part of “Where’s the Witch,” you can pick up a passport at the St. Joseph Welcome Center and then look for a witch at participating businesses.
“There are 13 participating locations, including the St. Joseph Welcome Center,” Crevier said. “You just go search around for the witch from the book, The Room on the Broom. So when you find it, you get your passport stamped by that participating location. And then once you complete it, you can turn it in for a prize.”
The prizes are geared toward younger participants, but Crevier says, really, anyone can take part in the hunt. The monthlong scavenger hunt leads into the Downtown Spooktacular on October 18.
“Just another fun thing to get the community out, especially getting people in stores and just enjoying our downtown in the fall time.”
The grand prize for finding the witch at all participating downtown businesses is a copy of Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson. Other prizes include stickers and various Halloween-themed goodies.
Passports can be picked up starting this Wednesday. The winner of the scavenger hunt will be selected November 3.
