Connie Louise Ellerbrook, 79, of Dowagiac, MI, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, September 22, 2025.
A visitation celebrating Connie’s life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 28th at Clark Chapel and Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, where friends may visit with her family. Connie was born in Dowagiac, December 6, 1945, to Kenneth and Barbara (Townsend) Gard. After graduating from Dowagiac Union High School, she became an administrative assistant for Heddon Lures in Dowagiac. This is where she met and was vigorously pursued by William Ellerbrook. William and Connie were married May 13, 1972, and grew their family with the addition of their son, Brian Ellerbrook. For many years, she worked as a lunch lady for the Dowagiac Union School District. Connie collected bells and enjoyed soap operas and game shows.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years – William Ellerbrook; son – Brian Ellerbrook; sister – Carolyn Davis; and brother – Don (Carol) Gard. She was preceded in death by her parents – Kenneth and Barbara Gard; and sister and brother-in-law – Patricia and Ronald Joanis.
