Ruth Ann Wood, 83, of Berrien Springs, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at her home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Chapel & Cremation Services. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com.
Ruth was born on May 27, 1941, in Lansing, MI, to Lyle & Louise (Lennon) Ives. She graduated Eastern High School in Lansing, Michigan and continued her education at the College of Nursing through Marquette University where she studied to become a Registered Nurse. After 42 years of nursing Ruth retired in 2003 from the Berrien County Health Department. In her retirement she took tremendous pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and would attend their extracurricular events to support and cheer them on.
Ruth is survived by her children, Rebecca Foster of Berrien Springs and Eric (LeighAnn “Ani”) Wood of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Landon (Chelsea) Foster, Zachary Foster, Gabriel Foster, HarleighAnn Wood, Brook (Don) Wilson, Zachary (Cera) Macintosh; great-grandchildren, Ivy Mae Foster, Eric Migliacio, Asryn Wilson, and Remi Wilson; and significant other, Lanny True. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle & Louise.
In lieu of flowers, any donations should be made to Caring Circle Hospice or Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan.
