Madelyn Louise (Brown) Randall, 96, of Lawton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at her home in Lawton.

She was born on December 2, 1927, in Lawton, the daughter of William Leonard Brown and Mary Anna (Stratton) Brown.

Madelyn graduated from Lawton High School in 1945.

On May 19, 1945, she married Robert Randall, who preceded her in death on July 23, 1999. They celebrated 54 years of marriage together.

Madge, as she liked to be called, was a hardworking woman who worked outside the home and in their small vineyard. One of her jobs outside of the home included bidding on and getting a “man’s job” as a die setter, which was not accomplished by any women at that time. She worked as a die setter until her retirement. During this time, she served as the die shops union president and helped to negotiate lucrative contracts for her fellow workers.

In her spare time and especially after retirement, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, needle point and other hand work. She made many gifts to share with family and friends and left many items for others to enjoy. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed using her Kindle in her later years. Most of all, Madge enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends she met throughout her 96 years!

She was a dedicated member of the Paw Paw Ladies Auxiliary Club, serving as their President multiple times, along with secretary and Chairman during their Monday morning Bingo games. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Paw Paw.

She is survived by her daughter; Kathleen (Henry DeHaan) McGuire, granddaughter; Lori (Tom) Stuits and great-grandsons; Hunter and Tanner Stuits.

Madelyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Robert, brother; Leonard Brown, son-in-law; Roger McGuire and grandson; Roger McGuire II.

Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Paw Paw, 120 Pine Street, where a memorial service will commence at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gail Monsma officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lawton at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Fund or the First Presbyterian Church of Paw Paw.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
