
Bob’s life began on August 4, 1940, in Watervliet, Michigan. He grew up in Benton Harbor and then moved to California. While in California, Bob worked as a mechanic and ran his own garage. He also participated in stock car racing. In the ’80s, Bob returned to Southwest Michigan and had his own business selling Texas Refinery Corp. products.
In the summer months, you could find Bob enjoying racing on Friday nights at Hartford Speedway. He was known as a generous man with an amazing positive attitude, great smile, and wonderful sense of humor, always willing to listen and help people in any way that he could. He would always say “Keep on keepin’ on”, and “Looking forward to our next conversation”.
Bob’s family includes two daughters Kelly Ashwal and Teresa Silva, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a brother Tom McCall, and a sister Sue (Robert) Wenzlaff.
Bob died Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Corwell Health in St. Joseph. He is preceded in death by his parents Homer and Gladys (Moser) McCall and a sister Pat Puskala.
