The Michigan Department of Transportation is planning a pavement condition study on eastbound I-94 between Paw Paw and Mattawan this coming Tuesday, and it’s going to affect traffic.

MDOT says while its staff are out, drivers should expect lane closures and a traffic shift. Eastbound I-94 will be reduced to one lane during the work.

Michigan State Police will be present for work zone enforcement and to help control traffic.

Delays are anticipated, and drivers should seek an alternate route.

The crew will be out on the road Tuesday from 6 a.m. to about 3 p.m.
