With Labor Day weekend being one of the biggest times of the year for impaired driving deaths, Michigan State Police are bringing back the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign for another year. Until September 4, the public can expect to see a larger police presence on the road as well as an effort to educate everyone on the dangers of driving while impaired. Lt. DuWayne Robinson explains why Michigan State Police are taking part in the campaign.
“It is our hope and goal to try to limit any future tragedies and keep Michiganders safe,” Robinson said.
The campaign is to increase awareness about driving safe and sober. It’s funded through the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning.
