Virginia “Ginny” Lea Black, 85, of Hartford passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at home.
Ginny was born on Aug. 6, 1937, in Benton Harbor, the daughter of Allen and Marie (Eiserman) Clauser, both of whom precede her in passing. Also preceding her in passing were two brothers: Allen Clauser Jr., and Irving Clauser; and a sister, Elna Clauser.
Ginny married Ralph Black on March 4, 1957, and he survives, along with a daughter, Wendy (Tim) Boyd; two sons: Ralph Black and Bart Black; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to honor Ginny’s memory will commence at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 19, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with Pastor Steven Bisbee officiating. Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hartford General Baptist Church.
