Beer, wine, and seltzers will be sold to the public inside Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo this fall pending the approval of the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. The Western Michigan University board of trustees yesterday approved the plan to allow the alcohol sales after surveying fans. WMU will use one-day liquor licenses for special events, which has been allowed under state law. There are two bills currently before lawmakers in Michigan to allow for permanent liquor licenses for college football, basketball, and hockey stadiums.
