A 57-year-old man is in the Berrien County Jail where he is awaiting arraignment on an open murder charge. Benton Township police say he allegedly shot and killed a 40-year-old man Sunday afternoon at a home in the 27-hundred block of Townline Road. The victim was pronounced dead when authorities arrived, and the suspect was arrested on the scene. No names have been released.
