James D. Denson, 87, of Berrien Springs, passed away Saturday, August 13, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning one hour prior at 10 A.M. Burial will follow the service at North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorials in Jim’s honor may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or other charities of the donor’s choice.  Those wishing to share a memory or leave a message for the family may do so by selecting the Guestbook option on the left.

Jim was born in Chicago, IL on June 10, 1935 to Deale and Reva Denson. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, he went on to serve his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement Jim worked as a printing broker with Photopress, Inc., as well as owning his own printing / marketing company Marson Inc. On August 4, 1987 he married Marie Christine (Carollo) Nadeau and the couple had just celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Jim and Christine loved to go sailing on their boat. They also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, including both Alaska and Hawaii. Jim also enjoyed music and attending concerts.

Jim is survived by his wife Christine; his son Ted (Carol) Denson; two daughters, Sue (Paul) Usherwood and Sandi (Keith) Pahlke; three stepsons, James (Kathie) Nadeau, Phillip (Dianna) Nadeau and John (Lissa) Nadeau; three stepdaughters, Marie (Steve) Fedewa, Cecile (John) Johnson and Cathy Maczala; his brother Ray (Iola) Denson; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepson Roger Nadeau in 2012.
