
Freddie B Bell affectionately known as ‘Little B”, 66 of Benton Harbor departed this life July 11, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph. Freddie was born December 18, 1954 in Shuqualak, MS, the fourth of five children born to Freddie Lee Bell and Kattie Jenkins Bell.
Freddie was educated in Shuqualak and Macon, MS. and was employed at Middleton Welding Co, Macon and the Shuqualak Brick Yard. In the late 1980’s, Freddie B, along with his former wife, Suzie, left the small town of Sugar Lot and moved to Benton Harbor, MI, where his older siblings reside. Freddie was a fun-loving person with a heart-warming smile. Eager to help others, he would make your problem his problem and give his time and sweat to anyone, not just family. Freddie would return to Mississippi to help with his parents when their health began to fade.
Freddie leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Nicole Campbell of Chesapeake, VA; grandson, L J Campbell; sister, Alberta (Doyle) Brown, Benton Harbor, MI; brothers, George (Mary) Bell, Benton Harbor, MI and Morris J Bell, Tuscaloosa, AL; 3 nephews; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Freddie is preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Bell; mother, Kattie Jenkins Bell; brother, Willie Earl Bell.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
