Donald J. Burnham, 73, of Dowagiac, passed away on Monday, Sunday, November 29, 2020, at his home, with his family by his side.
He was born on October 18, 1947, in Dowagiac, Michigan, to the late Joseph and Pauline (Hill) Burnham.
Don married Janet Mitchell on April 3, 1987. Together they made their home in Dowagiac. Don retired from Creative Foam. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and cruising the streets. He was always checking on his family, just making sure everyone was ok.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Beverly Norman, Bob Burnham, Jerry Burnham Sr.; two step-sons, Robbie Wares, and Lee Duel; and a step-grandson, Dakota.
Don is survived by his wife, Janet Burnham of Dowagiac; children, Judy (Shawn)Sirk of Dowagiac; Jody(John) Clauser of Decatur; Jerry (Lisa) Burnham of Berrien Springs; David (Heather) Deuel of Dowagiac, Todd Wares of Dowagiac; twenty grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol (Rolf) Dillon of Wisconsin.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Niles.
