Rodney “Rod” Alan Hatch, “Mr. Funshine,” 67, of Dowagiac, Michigan, passed away at his residence on July 21, 2020.
Rod was born September 7, 1952, to Bernard Lee Hatch and Diane Faye (Greenwood) Hatch in Niles, Michigan.
He is survived by his mother; three brothers, Mark Hatch, Kim Hatch, and Brent (Shannon) Hatch, and one sister, Penny (Roger) Elliott, all of Dowagiac.
He was loved by his nephews and nieces, Aaron Hatch, Nicole (Ben) Karn, Zachary Hatch, Grant (Morgan) Hatch, Rachel Hatch, and great-nephews, Brian Hatch and Adrian Hatch.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Mary Hatch.
Rod retired from National Standard where he worked several years. Rod enjoyed many things in life, including horses, drag racing, fishing (especially in Ely, Minnesota), music, friends, and going out of his way to irritate his family.
Due to Covid-19, a celebration of life will be held at a later time.
