Police Conducting Active Shooter Drill At Benton Harbor High School

michiganstatepolicegood-4

An active shooter drill is underway today at Benton Harbor High School. Michigan State Police, Benton Harbor Public Safety and Niles Police are taking part in the QUick Action Deployment, or QUAD, training sessions. State Police say there will be people inside the school during the drill, and there will be a visible police presence. Each participant clearly understands every active shooter incident does not necessarily occur in a school setting, and with this training, each intends to be better prepared if an active shooter incident occurs within their jurisdiction. Throughout the day, troopers say the public can be assured the extra police presence at the high school is for training and are urging everyone to not worry.
