Congressman Bill Huizenga could be looking at a tough reelection campaign this year.
National Democrats, through the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, are targeting Michigan’s Fourth Congressional District as a potential pickup, believing it could be flipped.
According to The Free Press, McCann has strong backing, raising more than $1 million in early 2026 and outraising Huizenga in the most recent quarter. However, Huizenga does have the overall financial edge.
Democrats have added McCann to their Red to Blue program, signaling strong backing in the race. McCann is currently a state senator representing the Kalamazoo area. He’s also served in the Michigan House.
