Broadband construction by Surf Internet is continuing in South Haven, with crews focusing on the southwest portion of the city throughout April.
The city says restoration work and service installations are also happening citywide, mostly in the shoulders of roads. While the traffic impacts are expected to be minimal, pedestrians may see temporary disruptions during utility work. The city engineer tells us drivers may need to slow down in some places to be cautious near the crews.
New construction is taking place between Water Street and the southern city limits, from Monroe Boulevard to Le Grange Street. Crews plan to complete restoration alongside construction as weather allows.
The overall project is expected to wrap up later this year.
The city encourages anyone with questions to check out Surf Internet’s website for updates.
