MSU Extension has your back if you feel like you need a class on being an adult. Adulting 101 is back for another year.
The popular program was designed originally for high school students getting ready to leave home, but the classes welcome people of all ages.
MSU Extension professor Kathy Jamieson says people over 18 sign up more often, adding that popular topics range as much as the ages of participants.
“We’ve had good turnout for a lot of the money management classes, but also life skills classes like on organizations or topics that aren’t typical, like our medical insurance,” Jamieson said. “Or we had a really good turnout for some of our mental health classes as well.”
Those interested only need to register once per year instead of registering for individual classes. They’re all held over Zoom.
Class topics include decreasing stress, wealth building, staying safe, meal planning, and professionalism.
